Choked drains at Owen Road and Dorset Road junction
Reply from NEA on 24 Dec 2005:We have since cleared the leaves in the drains at Owen Road and DorsetRoad.
The stagnation of water in the drains is due to structural defects in the culvert at site.
Our counterpart in the Drainage Department has gone down to the site and informed us that they will be carrying out repairs to the drains soon.
Pending rectification works, we will continue to maintain the site andensure no mosquito breeding.
